Senior Account Manager
This is a U.S. remote position. As a member of the Account Management team, the Senior Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for oversight of client accounts, including the seamless execution of Medical Communications programs.
Job Summary
This is a U.S. remote position. As a member of the Account Management team, the Senior Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for oversight of client accounts, including the seamless execution of Medical Communications programs. The SAM is solution-oriented, anticipating issues and able to streamline and implement SOPs throughout the course of a project plan to produce superior results.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitates more complex client accounts as the primary day-to-day contact; partners with clients independently
- Responsible for management of all phases of the project life cycle, including project financial management and revenue reconciliations both internally and externally for each program
- Partner with Business Development on client meetings and updates globally across all lines of business
- Demonstrates ability to generate alignment across departments to guide a multi-disciplinary internal project team, consisting of scientific content managers, design, editorial, digital services in executing an assigned portfolio of client-facing Medical Communications and business intelligence programs
- Build strong relationships and maintain regular and effective communication with life science partners, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders
- Work with multiple teams within the organization to accurately determine, assign, track, and manage project plans to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget
- Proactively manages budgets and financial tracking of projects and overall client accounts
- Provides mentorship on fiscal responsibility and budget management for junior team members
- Supports client relationships by proactively addressing concerns and escalating and/or managing expectations with the support of the senior accounts team
- Understands client needs and proactively proposes ideas/solutions; responsible for building trust and partnerships
- Provides ongoing feedback and training for junior team and delegates project-specific tasks
- Partner with the Meeting Management team and/or clients to facilitate air travel, hotel accommodations, and transportation for delegates and expert faculty when required
- Ensure company systems and procedures are adhered to and/or improved to ensure all expectations are fulfilled
- Available to travel as business requires
- Available for teleconferences outside of usual working hours to help ensure company-level global coverage of program and project needs

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or work-related equivalent required
- 6+ year’s experience in an account management role at a medical communications agency
- Demonstrated client services experience, including project management experience for meetings/events delivered both live and virtually
- Experience in internal and external stakeholder management
- Experience leading a project team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working within budgets and conducting financial reconciliations
- Experienced in spreadsheets and project management software
- Highly efficient in the use of Office 365

The salary for this role is $75,000k and based upon several factors including experience, education, skills, training, qualifications, location, and company need.
