INSIDE SALES MANAGER, US BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

This is a US remote position. The Inside Sales Manager, US Business Development reports to the Sr. VP, US Business Development.

Job Summary

This is a US remote position. The Inside Sales Manager, US Business Development reports to the Sr. VP, US Business Development. Your main responsibility is supporting the business development process by providing client-facing support to Sr. Business Development team members in the form of contract development, client follow-up and other sales process cycle support.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The function includes but is not limited to an independent implementation of the following tasks:

  • Support the Sr. BD members in the development of Aptitude Health Business Development plans for assigned clients including revenue forecast by client-specific action/targeting plans
  • Establish and maintain contact with potential clients to set up capabilities, presentations, or other opportunities for introducing Aptitude Health
  • Support the development of presentations for capability/pitch presentations in conjunction with the Sr. BD Lead and support in follow-up of action items
  • Support the BD Team in prospecting for potential new clients
  • Support the Sr. BD team in maximizing opportunities for client interactions at key scientific congresses by developing congress-targeting plans
  • In conjunction with the Sr. BD lead, establish a process and work with clinical, network, and account services teams to identify new business opportunities based on key events/data following major congresses
  • Leverage internal and external resources to rapidly become adept in oncology
  • Support in the management of key customer relationships and support in closing strategic opportunities
  • Travel for in-person meetings with life science partners and attendance at key meetings and conventions to develop key relationships, as needed

 

Teamwork/Enhancement of Company Processes:

  • Demonstrate team attitude with internal team members and ensure business and client objectives are met
  • Collaborate with strategic business development colleagues in Aptitude Health’s business development team globally to make new business introductions/referrals and leverage company-wide best practices where appropriate
  • Commitment to identify improvements to and enhancement of current agency processes and deliverables
  • Diligently evaluate success within the position to identify areas for improved effectiveness

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience as management support or coordinator
  • Attention to detail, and ability to work independently and under time constraints
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven efficiency in the use of Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word)
  • Be highly organized and able to multi-task
  • Flexible towards working in an international environment

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

The salary range for this role is $70-75k and based upon several factors including experience, education, skills, training, qualifications, location, and company need.

He has led studies across the full life cycle—from startup through publication—supporting objectives that range from understanding a disease’s natural history to fulfilling global safety surveillance requirements. Matthew brings deep expertise in orphan disease programs, having overseen more than 25 long-term, global initiatives, as well as in disease and product registries, prospective pharmacoeconomic studies, and systematic literature reviews. Matthew leads the RWE Registries team, responsible for building the business and team. Prior to joining Aptitude Health, he held senior leadership roles at Parexel, Worldwide Clinical Trials, inVentiv Health Clinical, Quintiles Outcome, and ICON Clinical Research. Matthew holds a BA in sociology from Boston University, is a long-standing member of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), and is a frequent speaker at ISPOR, the Center for Business Intelligence, and related industry conferences.

Jez is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in general management and regional president roles. He has a proven track record of success in the healthcare industry, having worked in the US, Japan, Australia, Korea, South Africa, France, and the UK for Sanofi, where he supported the launch of 10 new drugs across various therapeutic areas. As chief commercial officer at UDG Healthcare and EVP at Ashfield, Jez demonstrated his expertise in developing and implementing successful business strategies.
