SCIENTIFIC CONTENT MANAGER

The Scientific Content Manager is responsible for the development of scientific and medical content, and for execution of various Aptitude Health projects, which are exclusively focused on hematology, oncology, immunology, and supportive care. The manager will be an integral part of the content team as they develop various projects aligning with stakeholder needs. The manager will work collaboratively with other members of the content team in the EU and the US to assure proper quality and timely delivery of assigned projects.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supporting and leading the development and execution of assigned projects across Aptitude Health’s lines of business
  • In collaboration with business development and other content team leadership, develop projects that meet market and client demands

 

SCIENTIFIC CONTENT Responsibilities

  • Interacting with clients to discuss goals, format, and content of projects
    • Generation of deliverables with concise scientific writing and accurate representation of data
    • Developing content (agendas, discussion guides, speaker briefs) in collaboration with the client
    • Developing content/slides in cooperation with the faculty in a timely manner with appropriate referencing
    • Providing post-program meeting reports and/or executive summaries
    • Developing enduring materials such as abstract books, brochures, meeting programs, monographs
  • Daily duties concerning content/clinical management as directed by team leaders
  • Relationship management of external stakeholders: clients and external experts
  • Adhering to internal operational procedures and the multilevel quality-control content-review process
  • Attending and managing live scientific clinical meetings as required
  • Due to the nature of the work, flexibility to occasionally work outside office hours

 

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • An advanced degree (PhD, MS, MD, PharmD, PA-C, NP; RN considered with applicable experience) with a background in oncology/hematology preferred, or scientific background in another medical/pharmaceutical/biological field
  • 2–5 years of prior experience in a medical communications agency, pharmaceutical company, or related field is preferred
  • Experience in development of scientific content
  • Ability to translate scientific information into effective verbal and visual practical communication
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal in English)

  • Willingness to travel (when restrictions lifted)
